Kolani, a Minnesota-based cannabis operator, has entered into a purchase agreement for an industrial facility in the greater Twin Cities area, approved for cannabis cultivation and manufacturing under the state's Mezzobusiness licensing framework.
The approximately 26,000-square-foot industrial facility will become Kolani's operating home in Minnesota. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, with construction commencing shortly thereafter.
Backed by a deep network of experienced operators and partners, Kolani is establishing a permanent footprint at the start of Minnesota's adult-use cannabis market.
"Securing the right facility is foundational to the success of our business moving forward," said Andrew Melendez, Co-Founder of Kolani. "Ownership gives us long-term control over how the site is designed, built, and operated, allowing us to execute our business plan with the discipline and reliability Minnesota's market will require."
Kolani is among the 100 Mezzobusiness license holders awarded by the state of Minnesota. With a permanent operating facility now under contract, the company is moving forward with the support of early-stage private investors who have experience building in regulated markets, and continues to engage selectively with additional partners as it builds in Minnesota.
More to come.
